Blake Laws

TAF President

Blake Laws has been involved in the Obion County Fair for most of his life. Blake attributes where he is today to his dad, Bruce Laws, for taking him to his first fair meeting, Tommy Wheatley, and Blake’s mentor Raymond Phillips, who passed away in 2010. Blake has served on the Obion County Fair youth board and advisory board. He now serves as 1st Vice President on the Board of Directors. In this position, his responsibilities include planning and production of the fair book, taking care of the fair website and coordinating all work on the fairgrounds in preparation of the fair. Blake is the voice of the fair on all radio and television advertising. He was also instrumental in the revitalization of the fairs youth board. Blake has announced most all of the fairs events including the grand opening, beauty pageants, truck & tractor pull, demolition derby, nightly drawings and garden tractor pull. He has served on various committees and as a West Tennessee Director for 2 terms on the Tennessee Association of Fairs Board of Directors. The first term from 2013-2015 and the second term from 2017-2019. He is a graduate of Bethel University and Obion County Adult Leadership. He works as HR Manager for Tyson Foods.

Brittany Fisher Dean has Fair in her blood. Her parent’s had their first date at the Rhea Rural Fair in 1966 and she has been involved in the Rhea County Fair for all of its 16 years. She has been a director and committee chairman with the TN Association of Fairs and currently serves on the Executive Board of The Rhea County Fair Association, where she held the role of secretary for 13 years. She was elected Executive Secretary of the Tennessee Association of Fairs in early 2023. Brittany is a graduate of Tennessee Technology Center in Crossville and Roane State Community College in Rockwood. She served the citizens of Rhea County for 24 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Rhea Medical Center, and in 2009 accepted an administration position with CHI Memorial in Chattanooga. She currently holds a corporate position as a System Manager for Epic Growth, Expansion and Community Connect, which requires her to travel to multiple hospitals across the country implementing new technology and providing resources to improve processes and project management. She also continues to serve Rhea County as an active Paramedic with Rhea EMS where she has been employed as a PRN Paramedic for the past 14 years. With this, she maintains a certification as a CPR Instructor Trainer. When she isn’t traveling the country, Brittany lives on the farm where she was raised in Spring City. She is a mom of two, adult daughter Keyli and teenage son Jack. Both have been actively involved with the Rhea County Fair throughout their childhoods. She is also the fur mom of Mini Goldendoodle Poppie and Basset Hound Daisy. The family are life-long members of Wolf Creek Baptist Church.
